Dai left the tavern. She was not to come. At this hour, if she was to come and work she'd leave at what time, dawn? So no, she was not there. But where could she be?
The one in his mind, of course, was Eliza. Ever since he saw her, she piqued his curiosity. The way people looked at her, Dai knew he had to have her. And this was the reason why he came here tonight. To the other students, he said he found someone that might be able to help them. Be it was not that far from the truth...
As he kept thinking about her, Dai realized he knew but very little about her. She was called Eliza - if that was her real name - , she could sing - or at least that's what she told him - , she was able to heal with her hands and guards were looking for her. Maybe she was some sort of testing subject they were holding captive. No, that was absurd. Maybe she was a thief or something. She did steal his heart... Dai sighed. He knew so little.
But he knew that, if she was able to heal, maybe she could help. He was still unsure if he should believe all this. They heard people talking of elves, dwarves, dragons and magicians. But come on, these things were alive only in Dungeons & Dragons! Yet, the way she healed his scars, this was no way ordinary. No, that must be magic. And if she could heal, perhaps she could also tell how to get out of this world, or at least redirect them to someone who can.
Wandering around the town, Dai barely heard the ladies asking for him top join them. It was easy to know of what type they were. He also ignored the last people still wandering that late at night. He was not yet in the mood to join everyone in their inn yet. Miku with her perpetual PMS attitude. Kazuki and his silly love for him. So he kept walking until he reached the fountain. Yes, the fountain, the one where he parted ways with Eliza. Deciding to rest a little, Dai sat on its edge, trying to think through this mess.
