It was another beautiful day. When Dai woke up, Kazuki was in his corner, away from him, not one of his things were stolen. Perfect. He climbed downstairs whistling. Yes, he was in a good mood. But how couldn't it be so? Last night, he met someone amazing. A gorgeous, desirable, sweet young girl. Kethwyn. And on top of it all, she was a princess. A princess! Miku and kazuki could pretend to be princesses but she was a true one. They cannot beat that.
In the dining room part of the inn, there weren't a lot of people. Dai was not all that surprised. He wasn't expecting people to come and get drunk that early in the morning. The owner and cook of the place, proposed him spiced potatoes. Even if Dai wasn't too keen about eating potatoes right after waking up - it was a diner meal! - he accepted. A man couldn't start his day without something in the stomach. And the owner was ready to add some bacon. Dai sat on a chair, propping his feet on the table. The owner came with the food and Dai thanked him.
Now, those potatoes were not bad at all. And the best would be that he wouldn't need to do any chores. No, today it would be investigation time to know how to leave this place. But come to think of it, why being so quick about it when there was a pearl like Kethwyn around? couldn't find any way to make that delicious Kethwyn get away from him. She was too innocent. And after saving her from the guards, he doubted she'd ever be mean to him. No, Kethwyn wouldn't believe anything Miku could say. Another good point that made the smile on his face grew bigger.

Miku yawned as she woke up. At least, in that one inn they weren’t forced to be all in the same bed, like in the previous one and on top of that: IT DIDN’T HAVE ROACHES! It was probably the first night that Miku had slept nicely and to add to the happiness in her new life as a poor person, she had managed to take a bath! And not in water used by other people previously! She was too on a good mood. She didn’t care about if she had taken a bath in the river, and if the water was cold along with the wind. She didn’t stink anymore! What a lovely day it would be!
Maybe she could get to shop along with Kazuki-chan, it could be fun! She stretched her arms and ran a fingers through her long light brown hair and wore her glasses, without realising it-she never wore them in public usually. Being a little of a sleepy head, she hopped out of her bed, dressed in an old and yucky nightdress borrowed to the inn’s owner. It was better than sleeping naked she figured.
She walked down the stairs, a bright smile was onto her face as she walked in the dining hall, hair messy, without any make up nor dressed properly. She figured she didn’t look scarier than any other person that was in this town, she’d change later. It didn’t take long before she spotted Dai…who was having that stupid smile plastered onto his lips. Looks like she wasn’t the only one on a good mood but seeing him this happy…couldn’t help but spoil the happy morning she had planned to have.
She walked up to him and sat down at his table while studying his expression. She arched an eyebrow. How could he smile so stupidly? Must have something to do with women… “What’s up with that stupid smile of yours?” she asked giving him a bored look.

Dai was to be rather surprised today. Not that he cared when he heard someone getting down the stairs. Nor when that person turned out to be Miku. He was busy having fun remembering Kethwyn and eating his breakfast.
“What’s up with that stupid smile of yours?”
That simple line changed his mind completely. Now, he realized for real that Miku was there, by him, at his table. He looked surprised at her. Who wouldn't be knowing her. Her glasses, hair all messy, some old, dirty clothes on, no that wasn't Miku at all. Last night she was oh so happy about her bath, annoying everyone about it and taking hours in that water. And Dai who thought he'd be spared after that cold river - that wasn't all that cold. But no, she had to bug him again about baths.
Still, Dai was in too happy a mood to feel down thanks to negative Miku. "Well, good morning Miku precious." he said with his most charming smile. Nothing she could say to him could hurt. No, Kethwyn was too far from her venom. Plus she'd never believe a word of hers. Or if she was, Dai bet she'd forgive him and don't care. "You look good today." he couldn't help but to say with an amused smile. To see her like that, that was funny. She was always trying to look perfect. But Dai found out far from ugly like that, she was indeed rather cute. But to say that to her would mean a slap and maybe Dai was in a good mood, but he wasn't about to let that happen.
"As for the smile, don't worry, it isn't for you. I'm giving it to the real pearl of this hellhole." he told her. That would annoy her probably that he meant she was not the prettiest but eh, he dated her once, she was not the most interesting one around here for him.

"Well, good morning Miku precious." Miku arched an eyebrow at Dai. Okay, it was odd to see him like that, even if she did see him that happy a few times…she just couldn’t get over it. Why was he smiling this time? Had he had a full night of sex or whatever it could be? She rolled her eyes at the thought, it sure would be like him to have such things. All he thought about was that anyways.
"You look good today." Wait, why did he have an amused look?...She brought her hands to her face for a few seconds, only to realize that she had her glasses, and in front of more than one people at that! AH! She witched at him and quickly took them off. How could she think she could carry her darnmed and ugly orbs that were those glasses of hers! And in front of people at that! God, she wanted to die for having done something so stupid, and in front of Dai at it! He was the last person she’d want him to see her with those. “Shut it.” She simply said clenching her fist, looks like she would end up punching him, as usual…
"As for the smile, don't worry, it isn't for you. I'm giving it to the real pearl of this hellhole." She arched an eyebrow. Oh dear lord, he found an other victim! Although, she would make sure that he wouldn’t break the heart of this girl, whoever it could be. “Just try not to bring her to your dark side.” She sneered at him with an eye roll.
A waiter came to Miku, seeing that she was new to Dai’s table, she stared at his food, and decided to order for the same. It looked eatable…

Dai shrugged as he saw her quickly taking off her glasses. Sher wasn't all that bad with them, but a cute girl like her couldn't admit wearing something as disgraceful as spectacles. Of course, the comment resulted in Miku wanting to punch Dai. But he didn't care today. He was too far from her.
“Just try not to bring her to your dark side.” Dai arched an eyebrow, puzzled for a moment. Dark side? He was not dark at all. He was bright, the brightest thing you've never seen. "Kethwyn is too perfect in her way for me to urn her into anything." he replied, not even looking at Miku, simply eating his food. Who did she think she was to pretend he was staining everything he was touching. Kethwyn would not be stained. Not by him nor by anyone. She was perfect the way she was. Dai would simply make her be aware of her beauty a little more...
Dai heard Miku tell someone she'd take the same thing as his. He looked and saw she was in fact talking to a waiter. Of, so she was taking potatoes and bacon? Strangely, Dai couldn't portray her eating that kind of food. Too.. low for her. He gave her a look, half-amused, half-curious, as the waiter brought her the food. He wanted to see her eat that and try not to complain. He bet she wouldn't even be able to say it was good but only not so bad.

"Kethwyn is too perfect in her way for me to urn her into anything." That’s what he replied to her sarcastic yet realistic comment about how he acted around women. What an ass he could be at times! Scratch that, all the time he was. Kethwyn… what a weird name it was at that. She sighed and rolled her eyes. Better was she just to keep her attention on the food that soon arrived in front of her. It was odd looking…but looked tastier than the food they had eaten in that other disgusting inn.
Well, at least he didn’t intend to bring her to the dark side…but still, she never trusted him, not after what he had done to her; he could possibly do something like that to the girl who he sadly have the liking into right now. She sighed and poked her food with a strange thing they called a fork.
Looks like she would still have to eat it, it wasn’t like if she had any choices of food anyways. She wasn’t one who liked to test odd new food, unless it was sweets. She preferred traditional Japanese stuff, it was always the best in her opinion. Not to add that she wouldn’t complain about eating ramen here and there, she wasn’t 100% superficial unlike some would believe. “Whatever.” She mumbled picking the potatoes with her fork and stuffed the food in her mouth, it wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t extra either. Better than the other food though. She didn’t complain, just eating her food and ignoring Dai would keep her occupied for a good part of her meal.

Dai watched Miku. She had not yet responsed to his comment. It was unnatural of her. She always had a cruel thing to throw at him, thinking she earned the right to poison his life forever because of a little mistake he did. Yes, he got her heartbroken, he was sorry about it. But any intelligent person would try to move on and simply ignore the one who caused the pain. Miku, no. She had to attack him all the time, tell every girl that he'll treat them badly when he isn't. He never treated a girl badly and after what happened with Miku, he always made sure to make things clear: he was flirting, he had dates, but no girlfriends. End of the story.
Dai kept on smiling as she poked the food around. To a sophisticated girl such as herself, potatoes and bacon must look not too interesting. It was, after all, a more american way to take a breakfast than Japanese, that's for sure. No, that meal cewrtainly wasn't to her liking. But when you had to travel a country eating dried meat, roots and berries, potatoes and bacon were a delicacy.
“Whatever.” Dai sighed, somehow of relief. She seemed to keep things to that level. Good. Dai was not really in the mood to go and explain who Kethwyn was or argue that he wasn't as bad a person as she kept claiming. Could really one mistake destroy your life like this? Dai could just not understand why Miku was not moving on. It was as if she liked dwelling in despair. But Dai was tired of being the big bad wolf who hurt the virtue of a little princess. He didn't even touch said virtue!
Too happy of finding her quiet, he decided to eat in silence before resting on the chair with a sigh of satisfaction. She couldn't blame him if he was saying nothing now could she?

Miku raised her gaze at Dai as he smiled, why was he having that stupid smile again? It was getting annoying, she decided it would be better if she just continued studying her food. Dai was annoying when he was happy like that, not to add that he liked to throw things at her face whenever he met a girl. Saying how about she wasn’t like her and all that crap-it got on her nerves got damn it but she remained quiet, eating her food, what else could she do?
Hum, she could annoy him too that she had met someone, while working at the other town…more like performing but still. She hadn’t tell anything to anyone yet, not even to dear Kazu-hime, maybe she should and she knew that she would throw it back at Dai, whenever he’d get too much on her nerves, that he wasn’t the only one who had been meeting people in this dumb world.
She stared down at her food as she ate quietly, her mind drifting off to the copy of Dai she had found in this world. She wondered, would those two get along well? Hum, maybe, or maybe just hate each other because they were too alike… If she was to meet someone like her, she assumed she’d like her company-they would understand each other and not to add that she wasn’t any kind of womanizer or a pervert…
Still she couldn’t help but blush thinking at her new moorwickan ‘friend’. She wouldn’t mind meeting him again-since he knew how to get her extra money like the other day…

As they were both eating, Dai sometimes took time to glance at her. No matter how much she hated him, Dai was still sometimes taking care of her. Not as he was before of course. He was simply trying to have her understand what happened is in the past and that she had to move on if she ever wanted to meet someone else. She couldn't stay mad at him forever, it wasn't sane.
At a moment, as he moved his head to stare at his ex-girlfriend, he noticed her blush. He frowned some at that view. Not that he never saw her blush. Before, she was always bright red whenever he kissed her. That was before they were dating seriously of course. But he couldn't understand why the red came over her cheeks all of a sudden. What kind of thoughts was she having right now to make her blush?
Dai put down his fork on his plate. The temptation was too grand, he had to know. "What's with the blush? Impure thoughts?" he said to her. Okay, perhaps the last statement was a bit too much but come on, what else could make a girl blush. It certainly wasn't just because she thought of a guy. Her thoughts must have been more than just his face for her to blush. Or had she turned back into a young virgin never having a date?

"What's with the blush? Impure thoughts?" Miku startled as he spoke. What? She was blushing?! “If I do it’ll certainly won’t be about you.” She snapped at him before staring down at her food. She wasn’t really in the mood to throw it at him that she did too, meet someone the other night and that was also the reason of why she looked tired and forgot to fix her hair and stuff before going downstairs like she would usually do.
Sure she didn’t want to let Dai win by constainly bugging her about the fact that he now had another girl in view. Who cared? Certainly not her…okay, maybe she cared a little but still, she wouldn’t show it. What if it was a poor innocent girl? She felt sorry for her and hoped she wouldn’t do the same mistake as she had done. Stupid flirty ass, all he deserved was to get dumped. To get dumped by a girl he cared about just so he’d see how it feels for once not to have what you wanted.
She would make sure to assist to this kind of scene if that was to ever happen. Might be quite entertaining. She continued eating those roasted potatoes. It wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t one of the best food she had eaten even though she couldn’t complain much since it was the most decent thing she had eaten so far ever since they had come to this weird land.

“If I do it’ll certainly won’t be about you.” Upon hearing this, Dai startled some from surprise. The shock passed, he laughed at it, going up to hitting the table with his hand. Now this was hilarious. Not her of course, the situation. And her idea that he could think she'd still think of him. Now that was the funniest. That's Miku for you! Always hitting him even when he was not teasing in that way.
For example, as he questioned her blush, he never thought he was the responsible of it. Maybe she would if she were to find him naked - or even just half-naked - but to think that now, it was just ridiculous. "You really are too much Miku, precious." he told her.
With another laughter, he shook his head before emptying his plate. He stood up. Sadly, in this inn, there were no girls, except, of course, those he was travelling with. That meant no waitress to flirt with while bringing the dishes to the back, in the kitchen. Still, he was polite and was bringing it even now.

Miku arched an eyebrow at Dai. Did she really surprise him or was it just a fake? Because if it was, well, it wasn’t funny at all. Seriously, this one was a real pain in the neck-and that was only because she was trying to be polite! But then he started laughing and it was at this moment that he got on her nerves-as usual though.
Why the hell would he laugh at that? She didn’t think any of her sayings could be the slightest funny! Not at all, she wasn’t a clown at that! She humphred at Dai and gave him one of her infamous death glares waiting for him to explain himself to his sudden laughter.
"You really are too much Miku, precious." Oh, and he dared to call her precious! THEN LAUGHED AGAIN?! Miku twitched at his words, watched him as he stood up to put his dish away but yet hadn’t paid for his insult in front of her face. “DAMN IT STOP LAUGHING” she roared at him not in the mood to finish her plate anymore…

Dai still couldn't believe what he heard from Miku. Seriously, implying that she was thinking of him in a naughty way. Even him wouldn't imagine that. No, he knew her visions of him were being tortured or dying. So to think she'd say that..
Of course, it was not to please her. Nothing pleases her anyway. Dai was to talk of girls or to girls, he was slapped. He was reading a book in silence, he was slapped. She was blaming him if the rain was not stopping to pour down or when it was too hot. He was her black sheep and there was nothing he could do about it. For he had tried everything already.
“DAMN IT STOP LAUGHING” Dai laughed a little more before sighing, shaking his head on the way. "Honestly Miku, did you think you sounded serious out there? Come on, you can't really think that I assume you imagine me when having naughty thoughts. I even doubt you thought of me like that when we dated." he said, growing more serious as he spoke. He made a small laughter again, shaking his head once more. He turned around, showing her his back, walking for the door. No need to stay with them all again. Today, he'll explore the city.

Miku glared at Dai, frustrated at how he could easily laugh at her, even though when she had tried to insult him. God, she probably have to hit him to make him stop laughing. Oh his annoying laughter….she would make him gulp dirty socks if he continued on doing so. Or even better; roaches! Ah, this could be quite lovely…she thought smirking a little at the though and the imagination went along with it, as she tried to picture him in her mind chocking and asking her pardon.
If only that could happen…"Honestly Miku, did you think you sounded serious out there? Come on, you can't really think that I assume you imagine me when having naughty thoughts. I even doubt you thought of me like that when we dated." Okay okay, maybe he was right on that statement about her. But still, with the pervert mind he had, why not being surprised if he was, in the end some kind of perverted who only wanted to have that three letter word?
“Whatever, just go flirt with any other women, like if I cared. We’re not together anymore and I won’t spend my life warning all of those stupid girls who fall for you.” She answered with a humph, finished eating her food and stood up giving her plate to a waitress as she passed by. She would have to get ready, she needed to find more money and without him.
